Yorta Yorta singer songwriter Allara Briggs Pattison creates work which brings
together voice, the double-bass, sound samples from Country, and digital techniques to tell Blak stories in a unique and innovative way.
She is fast emerging as an important First Nations musician of her generation and was awarded the Archie Roach Foundation Award for Emerging Talent at the Music Victoria Awards 2021.
In her collaboration with a quintet of musicians from MCO, Allara presents new work, with other musical works that respond to, complement and amplify her voice. This coming together in music offers audiences a unique concert experience that authentically blends First Nations’ voices and perspectives with Classical music traditions. With MCO Artistic Director & violinist Sophie Rowell, MCO Principal Bass Emma Sullivan, and renowned composer-arranger Erkki Veltheim.
