Over a week of solo recitals, the selected Award finalists will strive to win over $65,000 in prize money and perform impressive classical masterpieces that range from Bach, Haydn, Schubert, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and many other composers. Repertoires throughout the inspirational recital series will feature music from the Baroque, Classical, 19th Century Romantic and French Impressionist eras, as well as music written after 1950, including Australian classical works. Open to Australian and Australian-based pianists aged 21 to 35 years, the Award embodies the highest national and international music standards and recognises the pursuit of professional excellence, technical brilliance and extraordinary flair. In the lead up to the grand final, three adjudicators will listen and observe every performance, while audiences can vote for their favourite solo recital in the Lorna Speechley Memorial Prize. "While I'm not looking forward to retire just yet, once I've completed my 2021 Winding Back Tour I'll be scaling down my live appearances," John says. "I've always loved the connection I receive when performing, so you'll still see me popping up at festivals and special events. Winding Back means I'm looking forward to spending more time in the garden and less time away from home." Marina Prior is regarded as Australia's leading lady of musical theatre. She is best known for her lead role in The Phantom of the Opera and Cats, to name just two. She has also performed with international stars including Richard Harris and Jose Carreras. Well known for her Carol by Candlelight performance each year, she was recently on the ABC TV series The Divorce. In 2006, Marina was honoured with an induction into Australia's 100 Entertainers of the Century. Hear the classics, their recorded favourites with a hint of humour thrown in! Seymour Krelborn is a meek and dejected assistant at a floral shop who happens upon a strange plant, which he affectionately names “Audrey II” after his crush at the shop. Little does he know that this strange and unusual plant will develop a soulful R&B voice, a potty mouth, and an unquenchable thirst for HUMAN BLOOD. As Audrey II grows bigger and meaner, the carnivorous plant promises limitless fame and fortune to Seymour, as long as he continues providing a fresh supply of blood. Just when it’s too late, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s extra-terrestrial origins and his true drive for world-domination.

After being rejected by the shearers and their dogs, Shaun and Pete set up their own Shearing Salon in town and before long word is out and they are inundated with woolly clients and maybe a Ringer or two! This hilarious show, imaginatively told by four perfomers playing shearers, dogs and sheep explores the challenges and rewards of being an individual and will be a lasting tribute to honouring your own spirit and strength, whilst working with the flock. Suitable for ages 4 - 9 years.
